Artist Statement
Creating Conversations
I create art with the intention of starting conversations. From my perspective, discussion is essential to society because it is how cultures, movements, and ideas take shape. Art is not optional. It is a natural expression of a person’s core beliefs and values, and it is meant to be witnessed, questioned, and talked about. I create with the hope of shifting someone’s perspective, or at the very least inviting them into my way of thinking, to explore my thoughts, even if they feel uncomfortable.
My process is rooted in the belief that art surrounds us from an early age, often unnoticed yet always present. As a graphic designer, I approach every project, whether a poster, logo, or app, not as a departure from art but as an extension of it. What may appear as simple problem solving is, to me, another way of contributing to the ongoing conversation that is culture. Every design I release into the world is an invitation to pause, reflect, and begin new discussions.
